Bastichio is a traditional baked pasta dish and thekids favourite for a birthday meal.

蒸肉末通心粉是一道傳統(tǒng)的通心面料理，也是孩子們生日的最愛

It's our Greekequivalent of lasagne but nicer.

這是希臘式的千層面，但是更好吃

OK. So, if you wouldn't mind putting the pasta inthe boiling water on the hob over there forme...Yeah. So we'll get that started...

麻煩你幫我把通心面放在那邊的沸水里面，我們就可以開始了

So,like in many pasta bakes, Ira precooks her penne pasta.

和其他許多通心面一樣，埃拉先煮好通心粉

She then browns some minced pork with onions, garlic and cayenne pepper, to give it an extrakick.

接下來剪下點碎豬肉末，調(diào)味料是洋蔥，大蒜和卡宴辣椒粉，來增添點辣味

And to finish, she folds insome flat leaf parsley, a real Greek favourite.

起鍋前加入一點歐芹，希臘人的最愛

We've got to makethe bechamel now.Yes. Mmh-mmh.

現(xiàn)在做奶油白醬

It's a way that my mum's developed this wayof making bechamel sauce with corn flour.

我媽媽研究出這種用玉米粉做白醬的方法

It's easier andlighter, it's not quite as rich and heavy as it is with ordinary flour.OK. Yeah.

比較簡單味道也很清淡，不像用一般面粉那樣味道厚重

Ira just chucks everything together, to create her white sauce.

埃拉簡單的把所有材料放在一起制作白醬

You may think that's going to get lumpy.

你一定以為這會結(jié)塊

Thesecret is, you haveto whisk for England.

秘訣就是使勁攪拌

But the whisking's going to do the trickand her sauce is getting smoother.

攪拌真的有效，白醬越來越順滑

Yeah! The corn flour is binding itall together.

玉米粉讓所有材料都混合在一起

What a great and easy way to make a white sauce.

With the pasta and the white sauceready, it's time to assemble the dish.

通心面和白醬都做好了，可以裝進烤盤里了

And it's really likelasagne - a layer of pasta, followed by the mince and the white sauce. Enjoy!

就像千層面一樣，一層通心粉，一層肉末和白醬

It's essentially a Greek bolognaise with bechamel.

這基本上是希臘式的西紅柿肉醬，再加上白醬

A sprinkling of halloumi cheese, 45 minutes in the oven and then Ira willleave it to rest for another 40 minutes, before serving.
