Speaking of reading, people have different opinions toward it. Some believe we should read selectively for we can get specific knowledge from certain books. Some hold that we should read extensively for getting more knowledge. Standing on my point of view, I’m convinced that people should read extensively to obtain a wide range of knowledge.

一說起讀書，人們的觀點各不相同。一些人認為我們應該有選擇地讀書，從特定的書中得到一些專業(yè)的知識。一些人認為我們應該泛讀，以此來獲得更多的知識。就我來說，我認為泛讀有助于我們得到更多的知識。

First of all, reading extensively can enrich us more. For most people, they just have very limited knowledge about our life. If they just read certain books for specific knowledge, then they will know less about our life. On the contrary, if we read extensively, we can get a wide range of knowledge and know how to deal with things in many cases.

首先，泛讀能讓我們獲得更多的知識。對于大部分的人來說，對于我們的生活的知識有限。如果他們再僅僅從特定的書本中獲取特定的知識，他們就只能對我們的生活懂的更好。相反地，如果我們多做泛讀，會獲得更廣泛的知識，就能夠處理不同情況下的不同事務。

Secondly, we can develop more interest by extensive reading. Only if we read a lot, we can obtain more knowledge about various things. Hence we can find what we are interested in and get more interests through reading extensively. Selective reading, however, people may can’t find their interest or just have one interest.

第二，通過泛讀，我們能發(fā)現(xiàn)自己更多的興趣點。只有通過大量閱讀，我們可以對很多事情都會有了解，因此我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)我們對什么感興趣。但是，有選擇的閱讀并不一定會讓我們發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的興趣點，甚至僅僅只能了解到自己某方面的興趣。

Thirdly, more chances are available by extensive reading. In modern society, if you are versatile, then you are popular among companies. For companies, they need versatile talents who have abundant knowledge to do things considering the big picture.

第三，通過泛讀，我們可以有更多的機會。在現(xiàn)代社會，如果你多才多藝，那么你會很受公司的歡迎。對于許多公司來說，他們需要那些有豐富知識的人，這樣的話就能夠在處理事情的時候考慮到全局。

In conclusion, by the analysis above, I’m convinced that we should read extensively for the good of our future.
