for people who are taking part in any sport or playingany game.

Everybody knows that a real sportsman would neverdream of cheating in a game.
所有人都知道真正的運(yùn)動(dòng)員從不奢望在賽場上靠作弊取勝。
He always plays fair and follows the rules of the game.
他總是行為正直,遵守比賽規(guī)則,
He takes the game seriously. He is keen to win,
并且認(rèn)真地進(jìn)行比賽,他渴望取勝,
plays with all his energy to beat his opponent,
全身心地投入以擊敗對手。
and expects his opponents to be as serious as he is.
同時(shí),他又期待對手像他一樣嚴(yán)肅地對待比賽。
He will play a losing game with dignity.

An unsportsmanlike player will often lose his temper when he is losing,

like a spoilt child.
像寵壞的孩子似的。
The true sportsman keeps in good humor even when he is defeated.

The final test of a real sportsman is whether he can take defeat well.
