　　DAY by day I float my paper boats one by one down the running stream.
　　In big black letters I write my name on them and the name of the village where I live.
　　I hope that someone in some strange land will find them and know who I am.

　　有人說(shuō)：成長(zhǎng)是一種痛。當(dāng)時(shí)間的消逝如奔鹿之過(guò)隙，鬢角的滄桑越發(fā)濃烈，這種切膚之痛來(lái)得尤為真切。兒時(shí)的你我，一只紙船就能承載最純的夢(mèng)想，一捧茉莉即可化作最美的回憶。童年是每個(gè)人的天堂，一花一草，一樹一木，雨露陽(yáng)光，都是喜怒哀樂(lè)的理由。如果真的可以選擇，或許多數(shù)人都會(huì)選擇活在詩(shī)中，不想長(zhǎng)大……
　　泰戈?duì)枺≧abindranath Tagore，1861—1941），印度著名詩(shī)人、諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)得主、藝術(shù)家和社會(huì)活動(dòng)家。他出生于印度一個(gè)貴族家庭，從小就受到藝術(shù)熏陶，8歲開始寫詩(shī)，12歲開始寫劇本，14歲開始發(fā)表作品。
　　泰戈?duì)栁乃嚦删挽橙?，作品包?0多部詩(shī)集、12部中長(zhǎng)篇小說(shuō)、100余篇短篇小說(shuō)、200多個(gè)劇本、1500多幅畫、2000多首歌曲等。其中詩(shī)集《吉檀迦利》（Gitanjali，1910）、《新月集》（The Crescent Moon，1913）、《飛鳥集》（Stray Birds，1916）等一直深受全世界人民的喜愛。
　　《新月集》是泰戈?duì)柕囊徊恳詢和詈颓槿橹髦嫉纳⑽脑?shī)集，初版于1913年。詩(shī)集中天真的孩子與慈愛的母親正是詩(shī)人的愛子與賢妻。20世紀(jì)初的幾年，是泰戈?duì)杺€(gè)人生活中最不幸的時(shí)期：先是妻子逝世，接著一雙兒女相繼夭亡。正是在悼亡傷逝的悲痛日子里，他懷著對(duì)孩子深厚的慈愛，對(duì)自己童年的回憶和對(duì)“理想世界”的追求，寫出了這部充分體現(xiàn)出詩(shī)人對(duì)兒童心理深刻理解和善用兒童無(wú)邪的眼睛和心靈來(lái)觀察自然、感受生活的優(yōu)美詩(shī)集。這部?jī)和?shī)集充滿了童稚的想象和純真感情，被認(rèn)為是世界文學(xué)中無(wú)與倫比的藝術(shù)珍品，成為印度大中小學(xué)必選的教材，同時(shí)也深受我國(guó)讀者的鐘愛。
