Don (the bartender): What's wrong, Herbert?

唐(酒保)： 怎么了，赫伯特?

Herbert: I need your advice again, Don. How do I find a girlfriend?

赫伯特： 唐，我又需要你的意見了。我要怎樣找到女朋友?

Don: Aren't there any girls at your office you like?

唐： 你的辦公室里沒(méi)有任何你喜歡的女生嗎?

Herbert: Sure, but I’m too shy and they think I’m a geek.

語(yǔ)言詳解

【that的用法】

Aren't there any girls at your office (that) you like? “在你的辦公室里沒(méi)有任何你喜歡的女生嗎?”that在美語(yǔ)會(huì)話常被省略，說(shuō)話才不會(huì)顯得累贅。

I wish (that) I could be like you.

“我希望能跟你一樣”

that在口語(yǔ)中總是被省略。要表示自己欣賞對(duì)方，除了直接陳述對(duì)方的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，也可以直接說(shuō)這一句，表示欣羨。

2) shy (a.) 害羞的

3) geek (n.) 電腦玩家，負(fù)面的意義是沉迷電腦、不擅與人交往的怪人。
