527　panic，fear，dread和terror

① panic恐慌，慌亂，多是突發(fā)的，使人驚慌失措，并很快蔓延開來。

When the fighting began，some of them got into their cars and took off in a panic. 一開始打起來，他們一些人就跳上車倉(cāng)皇逃走了。

There was a panic when the fire started. 火災(zāi)發(fā)生時(shí)，引起了一場(chǎng)驚恐。

② fear害怕，懼怕。指擔(dān)心自己會(huì)受到傷害，或某種危險(xiǎn)、不好的事情會(huì)降臨到自己頭上。

He was brought up with no fear of animals. 他從小就不害怕動(dòng)物。

③ dread恐怖，畏懼。指由于擔(dān)心會(huì)發(fā)生不快的或令人驚畏的事而感到極大的驚恐或害怕。

④ terror恐怖，指極大的驚駭或恐懼。
