Change the Address

It was a typically busy day at the bank. After a glance at the line of waiting customers, a harried-looking man came up to the counter and demanded, “What do I have to do to change the address on my account?” Without missing a beat, the clerk replied, “Move.”

【詞匯講解】

1.address地址。也可以作動(dòng)詞，指“稱呼” ：How shall we address a prince?我們?nèi)绾畏Q呼一個(gè)王子?“對(duì)待”：We should address her as our equal.我們應(yīng)該平等地對(duì)待她。

2.typically典型地。 That’s a typically masculine attitude!這是一種典型的男人態(tài)度!

3.glance一瞥。也可以指 “滑過, 掠過”：A sudden glance of the sword cut his shoulder.劍突然擦過, 傷了他的肩膀。

4.harried被困擾的/受折磨的。
