I'm in an old, deserted homestead in the shadow of the Rocky mountains. 我現(xiàn)在在落基山脈背陰處 一所荒棄的舊宅里

Morning in the rockies after a thunderstorm is about the most spectacular place you'll ever see. 雨后山脈的清晨 會是你曾見過的最美妙的景色

Just beautiful.And a nice time just to warm up before getting going,and also try and freshen up a bit. 太美了 在出發(fā)前再暖和暖和 而且可以梳洗一下

Out in the wild, washing and personal admin are not only important for your hygiene, 荒野之中 洗漱干凈和保持個人衛(wèi)生 不僅僅是為了身體健康

but they serve as a morale booster and help to lift the spirits. 還可以提升士氣 幫你重新振作精神

I've got some of this alder branch.It's like nature's toothbrush. 我找到些榿木樹枝 這些可是天然的牙刷

You can recognize it because it's the only deciduous tree. 因為是這片唯一的落葉樹 所以可以辨別出來

It's got these little cones on it here. 在這里可以看見錐形的部位

All you got to do-chew the end to rough it up a bit, like that, 你要做的就是 咬松它的根部 就像這樣

then use that to really get in your teeth and give them a clean. 然后將它插到牙縫中 開始刷牙

And then I got a bit of this mullein.That's also known as cowboy loo paper. 我還找到這些毛蕊花屬的植物 它另外一個廣為人知的名字是 牛仔的手紙

Really velvety, soft leaves perfect. But you are not getting a demo of that one. 天鵝絨般柔軟的葉子 非常好 但你們是看不到使用示范了

In the light of day, this homestead seems a lot more inviting.But it's time to move on. 在白天 房子看起來還挺吸引人的 但是時候繼續(xù)上路了

Feels kind of weird leaving this old homestead. 離開這所舊房子還真感覺有點奇怪

Something.. homely about it that kind of half suggests that 那房子讓我有家的感覺 雖然房子真的是破爛不堪

there should be people nearby,even though it's really dilapidated. 但還是給人帶來 附件有人居住的錯覺

On the outskirts of the homestead,I find an old telegraph pole. 在房子郊外 我發(fā)現(xiàn)一根舊的電報桿

This would usually offer the survivor a glimmer of hope,but out here, signs of civilization mean nothing. 這通常都給求生者帶來一線希望 但在這里 文明的遺跡卻不代表什么

Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing to follow. 正常來說 跟著電線桿走是個好選擇

Being out here, look, just doesn't lead anywhere just goes straight back into the ground. 但現(xiàn)在 瞧 跟著走就行不通了 桿子都斷了 直指地面
