A second whistleblower has come forward in the impeachment case against president Donald Trump. Lawyers said the second person was also an intelligence official, and had first-hand information about the phone call, during which president Trump is alleged to have tried to pressure the Ukrainians into investigating Joe Biden, a possible election rival. President Trump has repeatedly rejected the original complaint.

Police and medical sources in Iraq say that at least eight people have been killed in renewed clashes between anti-government protesters and the security forces in Baghdad. It's the sixth day of violent unrest that's seen more than 100 people killed.
