Turkey now has more cases of coronavirus than China, the origin of the pandemic. Turkish officials registered nearly 4.000 new cases in 24 hours, bringing the totals of more than 86.000. The latest figure for Turkish is atop the Covid-19 affected countries in Asia.

A senior British cabinet minister has admitted that Boris Johnson missed five of the government's top-level emergency planning meetings, as the coronavirus pandemic was taking hold. Michael Gove denied that Mr. Johnson didn't take the pandemic seriously.

In a message apparently aimed at his Hindu nationalist supporters, the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi has said that Covid-19 doesn't see race, religion, color or cast before striking. The message follows a surge in anti-Muslim rhetoric from his supports on social media, blaming an Islamic sect for spreading the virus in India.
