這個成語由三個名詞構(gòu)成，lock這里指的是槍的扳機(jī)，stock是槍托，barrel是槍筒。扳機(jī)、槍托、槍筒，這三樣?xùn)|西加起來不就成了一桿完完整整的槍了嗎？正是。所以這三個名詞加起來構(gòu)成了一個狀語，解作“完完全全地、全部、統(tǒng)統(tǒng)”，相當(dāng)于completely, totally等副詞：
