聽力原文及翻譯

A: But what about yesterday, you were an hour late.

A：但是昨天呢，你遲到了一個小時。

B: Yesterday I was driving to work when my car was stopped by a policeman, I was pulled over

and the policeman told me I was under arrest.

B：昨天我開車上班的時候，我的車被警察攔了下來，警察告訴我我被逮捕了。

A: Really? Why?

A：真的嗎？為什么？

B: The policeman said that my car had been seen at the scene of a crime.

B：警察說有人看到我的車在犯罪現(xiàn)場。

A: It sounds like you're making up stories, did that really happen?

A：聽起來你在編故事，真的發(fā)生過嗎？

B: It's all true. When I was pulled over, the policeman asked me to get out of the car, my hands were handcuffed behind my back, he said that my car had been seen on the camera of a gas station that had been robbed.

B：都是真的。當(dāng)我被攔下時，警察讓我下車，我的手被銬在身后，他說有人在一個被搶劫的加油站的攝像頭上看到了我的車。

A: Well, you made it to work somehow, how did you get away?

B: The policeman got a call on his radio saying that the robbers had been caught by another policeman, and they were being held in custody. The policeman let me go, but half an hour had already passed, I drove to work as quickly as I could.

A: Well, if that's true, then I understand. But what about Monday, I remember you coming in late then, too.

B: That was because my car was stolen, I woke up Monday morning and my car was gone, the police were notified immediately, I was forced to drive my wife's car and drop her off at her workplace, which took some extra time.

A: I see, why didn't you tell me?

B: It wasn't a big deal at the time, my car was found by the police a few hours later, and I was only 15 minutes late to work.
