北島，原名趙振開，祖籍浙江湖州，生于北京。1969年當建筑工人，后在某公司工作。80年代末移居國外。北島的詩歌創(chuàng)作開始于十年動亂后期，反映了從迷惘到覺醒的一代青年的心聲，十年動亂的荒誕現(xiàn)實，造成了詩人獨特的冷抒情方式——出奇的冷靜和深刻的思辨性。
