Hu Jianghua, a second-year student at the school, wrote she "especially wishes to thank JJ Lin, whose songs have given her powerful spiritual support over the past decade" in acknowledgements section of her paper published on Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity.
Hu said she added the singer's name on the paper without letting her supervisor know first. After finding the alteration, Yu said he is totally behind Hu to have spiritual support of her own.
In addition, Rui Long wants to thank, in particular, the patience, care and support from Panpan Mao over the passed years. Will you marry me?
The “Acknowledgments” section is where authors are given space to thank others for their contributions to the project. It is generally accepted that this paragraph is ignored by both readers and reviewers alike.
Accordingly, it is chock full of inside jokes, snarky comments, and general silliness.
I blame all of you. Writing this book has been an exercise in sustained suffering. The casual reader may, perhaps, exempt herself from excessive guilt, but for those of you who have played the larger role in prolonging my agonies with your encouragement and support, well… you know who you are, and you owe me.
I thank the National Science Foundation for regularly rejecting my (honest) grant applications for work on real organisms, thus forcing me into theoretical work.
If the book is not a success, I dedicate it to the burglars in Boulder, Colorado, who broke into our house and stole a television, two typewriters, my wife Helen's engagement ring and several pieces of cheese, somewhere about a third of the way through Chapter 8.
We appreciate the very candid critical insights of 2 anonymous reviewers, M. Gompper, and K. Beard.
Beard。
I thank Graham Higman for allowing the dust of Oxford to rest on my unopened manuscript for thirty months.

Order of authorship was determined from a 25-game croquet series held at Imperial College Field station during summer 1973.

We acknowledge Snowpocalypse 2010 for making the long-awaited completion of this paper possible.
Persons attempting to find a motive in this narrative will be prosecuted; persons attempting to find a moral in it will be banished; persons attempting to find a plot in it will be shot.

I dedicate this book to George W. Bush, my Commander-in-Chief, whose impressive career advancement despite remedial language skills inspired me to believe that I was capable of authoring a book.
Pedram Amini, Fuzzing: Brute Force Vulnerability Discovery
The dedication of this book is split seven ways: to Neil, to Jessica, to David, to Kenzie, to Di, to Anne, and to you, if you have stuck with Harry until the very end.

My first stepfather used to say that what I didn’t know would fill a book. Well, here it is.
Tobias Wolff, This Boy’s Life
To my wife Marganit and my children Ella Rose and Daniel Adam without whom this book would have been completed two years earlier.
Joseph J. Rotman, An Introduction To Algebraic Topology

TO LEON WERTH
I ask the indulgence of the children who may read this book for dedicating it to a grown-up.
I have a serious reason: he is the best friend I have in the world. I have another reason: this grown-up understands everything, even books about children. I have a third reason: he lives in France where he is hungry and cold. He needs cheering up.
If all these reasons are not enough, I will dedicate the book to the child from whom this grown-up grew. All grown-ups were once children--although few of them remember it.
And so I correct my dedication:
TO LEON WERTH WHEN HE WAS A LITTLE BOY
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
