清華大學(xué)與麻省理工學(xué)院尋求深化合作

China’s world-renowned Tsinghua University recently hosted an executive committee from the US’ Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Officials from the two premier educational institutions held round table discussions on development strategies and ways to expand cooperative efforts.

中國著名的清華大學(xué)最近接待了美國麻省理工學(xué)院的一個(gè)執(zhí)行委員會(huì)。兩所主要教育機(jī)構(gòu)的負(fù)責(zé)人就發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略和擴(kuò)大合作的方式舉行了圓桌會(huì)議。

Both sides contemplated ways to deepen collaboration in university development and personnel training.

雙方都在考慮如何深化在大學(xué)發(fā)展和人才培養(yǎng)方面的合作。

Qiu Yong, principal of the Tsinghua University hoped both sides would further correspond in subjects built on past success.

清華大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)邱勇希望雙方在以往成功的基礎(chǔ)上進(jìn)一步協(xié)調(diào)合作。

"We hope to better understand China’s innovation ecosystem, Chinese universities’ innovation, and entrepreneurship education, as well as their role in economic and social development," said L. Rafael Reif, principal of the MIT.

麻省理工學(xué)院校長(zhǎng)拉斐爾·雷夫表示：“我們希望更好地了解中國的創(chuàng)新環(huán)境、中國大學(xué)的創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)教育，以及它們?cè)诮?jīng)濟(jì)和社會(huì)發(fā)展中的作用。”

"We look towards strengthening cooperation and connect with more universities around the world regarding scientific research, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship," said Xue Qikun, vice principal of the Tsinghua University, adding that he believes that round table discussions could promote opening-up and reform of universities.

清華大學(xué)副校長(zhǎng)薛其坤說：“我們期待著加強(qiáng)與世界各地更多大學(xué)在科學(xué)研究、技術(shù)、創(chuàng)新和創(chuàng)業(yè)方面的合作和聯(lián)系。”他補(bǔ)充說，他認(rèn)為圓桌討論會(huì)可以促進(jìn)大學(xué)的開放和改革。

Ideas on laboratory construction, admissions selection mechanism, overseas study mechanism, interdisciplinary research on artificial intelligence, and big data technology were exchanged during the meetings.

會(huì)議期間，與會(huì)者就實(shí)驗(yàn)室建設(shè)、招生選拔機(jī)制、留學(xué)機(jī)制、人工智能跨學(xué)科研究和大數(shù)據(jù)技術(shù)等問題交換了意見。

MIT executive committee members also visited Tsinghua Schwarzman College, Tsinghua Science Park, and Tsinghua X-Lab. They also communicated with the alumni entrepreneur representatives of the Tsinghua University.

麻省理工學(xué)院執(zhí)行委員會(huì)成員還參觀了清華施瓦茨曼學(xué)院、清華科技園和清華X-Lab。他們還與清華大學(xué)校友企業(yè)家代表進(jìn)行了交流。
