韓國現(xiàn)兩例'德爾塔+'病例

South Korea has detected its first two cases of the new Delta Plus COVID-19 variant, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said on Tuesday, as the country battles with its fourth wave of infections.

8月3日，韓國疾病管理廳通報稱，在該國第四波疫情中首次發(fā)現(xiàn)了兩例感染"德爾塔+"變異毒株的病例。

The Delta Plus variant is a sub-lineage of the Delta variant, and has acquired the spike protein mutation called K417N, which also is found in the Beta variant.

"德爾塔+"是德爾塔變異毒株的變種，"德爾塔+"的刺突蛋白出現(xiàn)了K417N突變，K417N突變也存在于貝塔毒株中。

Reports of Delta Plus cases have been few, and a handful of countries, including Britain, Portugal and India, have reported some cases.

目前全球只有英國、葡萄牙和印度等國報告了少數(shù)感染"德爾塔+"毒株的病例。

Some scientists have said the Delta Plus variant may be even more transmissible.

一些科學家指出，"德爾塔+"毒株可能更易傳播。
