China's cyberspace watchdog published a draft regulation on Wednesday concerning pop-up windows and notification services on internet platforms, with the aim of soliciting public opinions.

Providers of internet services will not be allowed to push notifications containing content involving celebrity gossip or personal privacy, extravagant displays of wealth and the appreciation of ugliness, according to the draft regulation from the Cyberspace Administration of China.
根據(jù)征求意見(jiàn)稿,互聯(lián)網(wǎng)彈窗信息推送服務(wù)不得推送《網(wǎng)絡(luò)信息內(nèi)容生態(tài)治理規(guī)定》明確的違法和不良信息,特別是惡意炒作娛樂(lè)八卦、緋聞隱私、奢靡炫富、審丑扮丑等違背公序良俗內(nèi)容。
In providing news-alert services, the original meaning and content of the titles should not be distorted or falsified, it says.

Misuse of algorithms and promoting information that is harmful to minors will also be banned by the new regulation.
