5. A cure for a headache

One day a man went into a chemist's shop and said, "Have you anything to cure a headache?" The chemist took a bottle from a shelf, held it under the gentleman's nose and took out the cork1. The smell was so strong that tears came into the man's eyes and ran down his cheeks.

What did you do that for? He said angrily, as soon as he could get back his breath.

But that medicine has cured your headache, hasn't it? said the chemist.

You fool, said the man, "It's my wife that has the headache, not me!"

治療頭痛

一天，一個(gè)男人走進(jìn)藥店，問(wèn)道：“有治療頭痛的藥嗎？”藥劑師從架子上取下一個(gè)瓶子，把它放到買(mǎi)藥人的鼻子下，然后拔開(kāi)瓶塞。藥味太強(qiáng)烈了，買(mǎi)藥人的眼睛里涌出了淚水，沿著雙頰流下來(lái)。

“你這是干什么？”買(mǎi)藥人一恢復(fù)常態(tài)就憤怒地問(wèn)。

藥劑師說(shuō)：“不過(guò)，這種藥卻治好了你的頭痛，不是嗎？”

“你這個(gè)笨蛋?！辟I(mǎi)藥人說(shuō)，“頭痛的是人我老婆，不是我！”
