海底驚現(xiàn)埃及艷后故居

        Plunging into the waters off Alexandria Tuesday, French archaeologist Franck Goddio and his team explored the submerged ruins of a palace and temple complex from which Cleopatra (the Queen of Egypt) ruled, which was hammered into the sea by earthquakes and tsunamis more than 1,600 years ago.

 　　由法國(guó)水下考古學(xué)家弗蘭克·高迪奧帶領(lǐng)的考古團(tuán)隊(duì)25日在亞歷山大港海域進(jìn)行海底挖掘時(shí)，發(fā)現(xiàn)了埃及女王克利奧帕特拉七世（人稱(chēng)埃及艷后）統(tǒng)治時(shí)期的宮殿和廟宇等遺址，1600多年前發(fā)生的地震和海嘯已經(jīng)使這處遺址沉入海底。

　　It was reported that the team was surveying ancient Alexandria's Royal Quarters. They also found a colossal stone head believed to be of Caesarion, son of Cleopatra and previous lover Julius Caesar, and two sphinxes, one of them probably representing Cleopatra's father, Ptolemy II.

　　據(jù)報(bào)道，這支考古團(tuán)隊(duì)發(fā)現(xiàn)了古代亞歷山大港的皇家住所，在挖掘中還發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)巨大的石頭雕像，這被認(rèn)為是克利奧帕特拉七世和她以前的情人小凱撒的兒子愷撒里翁的雕像。另外還發(fā)現(xiàn)了兩個(gè)獅身人面像，其中一個(gè)經(jīng)分析大概代表了克利奧帕特拉的父親托勒密二世。

　　A huge quartzite block had an engraving of a pharaoh. An inscription indicates it depicts Seti I, father of Ramses II. "It's a unique site in the world," said Goddio, who has spent two decades searching for shipwrecks and lost cities below the seas.

　　一塊巨大的石灰?guī)r上雕刻著法老的臉孔。下面的文字提示此雕刻為拉美西斯二世的父親塞提一世?？脊艑W(xué)家高迪奧表示，他花了20年時(shí)間尋找海底沉船和淪陷城市，這處遺址是他發(fā)現(xiàn)的最獨(dú)特的地方。
