亮星！但愿我像你一樣堅(jiān)持——

Bright star, would I were stedfast as thou art—

不是在夜空高掛著孤獨(dú)的美光，

Not in lone splendor hung aloft the night,

像那大自然的堅(jiān)忍不眠的隱士，

And watching, with eternal lids apart,

睜開著一雙眼瞼永遠(yuǎn)在守望

Like nature's patient, sleepless eremite ,

動(dòng)蕩的海水如教士那樣工作，

The moving waters at their priestlike task

繞地上人類的涯岸作滌凈的洗禮，

Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,

或者凝視著白雪初次降落，

Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask

Of snow upon the mountains and the moors;

No—yet still stedfast, still unchangeable ,
