A : Hey, Peter. You look busy. What’s that you’re reading?

嘿，Peter，感覺你好忙呀，看什么呢

B : Hi,. I’m studying the driver’s manual so I can finally get my driver’s license. I just hope I can remember all these traffic laws.

嗨，簡(jiǎn)，我正在學(xué)習(xí)駕駛員手冊(cè)，以便最終拿到我的駕照。我真希望能記住這些所有的交規(guī)。

A: I’m sure you’ll pass the tests with flying colors, especially since you can miss a few and still pass. Just don’t forget to bring your glasses with you so you don’t fail the vision test.

我相信你一定會(huì)很容易的通過的，即使是出點(diǎn)小錯(cuò)，也是能過的。對(duì)了，別忘記帶著你的眼鏡以免視力檢查通不過。

B: Yeah, I know. I think the written test will be okay, but I’m really worried about the road test. I never took driver’s ed and I’m nervous behind the wheel. My brother failed his test the first time because he forgot to signal a left turn, and then he didn’t yield to a pedestrian. He also screwed up on the parallel parking.

噢，我知道。我覺得書面考試容易過，但路考我是很擔(dān)心的。我以前沒有學(xué)過開車，一碰方向盤我就緊張。我弟弟第一次考試就折了，因?yàn)樗筠D(zhuǎn)的時(shí)候忘記打燈了，然后還沒有禮讓行人。在停車入位的時(shí)候又搞砸了。

A: It sounds like he just got nervous. A busy intersection is always tricky. So when’s your appointment at the DMV?

B: Next Tuesday. But I might just go in earlier and take the test as a walk-in.

A: Can’t wait, huh? Well, I’ll let you get back to studying. Good luck!
