　　 從表面上看，常用詞confuse，refund和foundry似乎互不相干，其實(shí)卻是同根生的。它們的詞根 fus，fund 和 found 是來(lái)自拉丁動(dòng)詞fundere的同源異形根，意思相當(dāng)于to melt或to pour，即與金屬冶煉有關(guān)的“熔化”或“澆注”。三個(gè)異形根中，fund是不定式詞干；found是fund是重讀形式；fus是動(dòng)名詞詞干。fus的構(gòu)詞能力最強(qiáng)。
