約翰·溫斯頓·列儂(John Winston Lennon)、英國(guó)著名搖滾樂隊(duì)“披頭士”（The Beatles，也譯做“甲殼蟲”）成員，搖滾史上最偉大的音樂家之一 ，披頭士樂隊(duì)的靈魂人物，詩(shī)人，社會(huì)活動(dòng)家，反戰(zhàn)者。

Imagine是約翰·列儂獨(dú)自發(fā)展后的代表作之一，深刻表達(dá)他畢生執(zhí)著尋找夢(mèng)想和永存心中的美好愿望。列儂是一個(gè)理想主義者，他有著自己的思想，有著自己獨(dú)特的人生觀和世界觀。特別是在他生命的最后幾年里，不斷的為世界和平、消除貧困、促進(jìn)東西方的文化交流而奔走呼號(hào)。這已經(jīng)完全超越了一個(gè)流行音樂家的工作范疇，體現(xiàn)了他強(qiáng)烈的責(zé)任感和使命感。為了反對(duì)美國(guó)的越南戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)，列農(nóng)聯(lián)合各方有識(shí)之士，組織了多種形式的抗議活動(dòng)，那首著名的反戰(zhàn)歌曲——Give Peace A Chance就是當(dāng)時(shí)的名作。時(shí)至今日，它還一次次響徹在人們祈禱和平、反對(duì)戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)的集會(huì)中。
