According to media reports, negotiations between the Hollywood Actors union and the producers have been blocked, and the strike is still going on. And the latest, a number of A-list actors put forward a rare groundbreaking plan: those highest-paid actors are willing to pay more dues for the union to bring $150 million over three years, improve the welfare of peers, hoping to promote the demands of the huge gap between the two sides as soon as possible to reach a contract and end the strike.

Negotiations between the Screen Actors Guild and the United Union of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) reached an impasse a few days ago. According to a new Deadline exclusive, George Clooney, Emma Stone, Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry, Scarlett Johansson and other A-list actors recently met with SAG leaders and discussed how they can help resolve the issue via video conference. They came up with a groundbreaking proposal that was presented to the Screen Actors Guild.

"A lot of the people who make the most money want to be part of the solution," Clooney explained. We have proposed bringing in more than $50 million a year to the union and more than $150 million over the next three years by removing the cap on dues, which currently stands at $1 million. I think it's only fair that we pay the union a little more.

According to previous reports, the gap between the actors' union and the producers' demands for follow-up earnings from streaming actors reached $480 million, with the former asking for a total of $500 million in the new contract and the latter willing to pay only $20 million.
