When Halle Bailey announced earlier this month that she had given birth to a boy, many didn't know the singer and actress was even pregnant. Now that the stork is out of the bag, Bailey's been more forthcoming with her pregnancy, sharing photos and videos of the once-private period in her life.

While reactions tended to be more on the "awww" side, some took issue with Bailey's secrecy — one user on X, formerly Twitter, accused the 23-year-old of lying about her pregnancy, prompting the Little Mermaid star to respond.

The "Angel" singer welcomed her first baby, son Halo with boyfriend DDG, near the end of 2023, which would explain why she was largely absent from The Color Purple press tour, save for an appearance at the L.A. premiere. Bailey played the younger version of Nettie, sister of the film's protagonist Celie, played by Fantasia Barrino.

Bailey also responded to another user on the social media site who told her to stop sharing photos of her pregnancy, writing, "If you don’t care why are you responding then, sweetheart? Just don’t care by living your best life and not commenting on mine."
