　　1. 解詞釋義

　　To bell the cat源自于一個故事：有一窩老鼠，因為怕貓，所以不敢出去找食物。其中有個老鼠想了一個辦法——在貓的脖子上套一個鈴鐺，這樣就知道貓的行蹤，從而躲避開而偷取食物吃。這個辦法得到大家的一直同意，但是問題是誰去給貓?zhí)租忚K呢?也就是我們說的：Who will bell the cat? 大家推來推求，誰也不敢去，后來to bell the cat這個短語就被人比喻為“冒險去做某事”。因此，對話中“There has to be someone tobell the cat. ”的意思是“必須有個人去冒險。”
