A man and his wife were having some problems athome and were giving each other the silenttreatment. Suddenly the man realized that the nextday he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AMfor an early morning business flight. Not wanting tobe the first to break the silence (and LOSE), hewrote on a piece of paper, please wake me at 5AM."He left it where he knew she would find it.
男人和妻子在家里鬧了些矛盾,開(kāi)始冷戰(zhàn)。突然,男人意識(shí)到第二天5點(diǎn)要起來(lái)坐早班商務(wù)飛機(jī),需要妻子教他起床。他不想第一個(gè)打破沉默(那樣的話(huà)他就輸了),所以他就寫(xiě)了一張紙條:“請(qǐng)明天早晨5點(diǎn)叫醒我。”他把紙條放在妻子能發(fā)現(xiàn)的地方。
The next morning, the man woke up,only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed hisflight.
第二天上午,男人醒來(lái)一看,已經(jīng)9點(diǎn)了,他沒(méi)有趕上班機(jī)。
Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him when he noticed a pieceof paper by the bed. The paper said,"It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."
他怒氣沖沖,正要去看看妻子為什么不把他叫醒,這時(shí)他看到床邊有張紙條,上面寫(xiě)著:“5點(diǎn)了,醒醒吧。”
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.
