　　[誤] We had a nice party with drinks and dancing, then, after all, we went home.

　　[正] We had a nice party with drinks and dancing, and finally, we went home.

　　注：after all 不是finally 的意思，它主要有兩層詞義：

　　一、“畢竟，終究”。after all 這一用法，通常置于句末。

　　二、“必須記住，別忘了”。after all 的這一用法，通常置于句首。所以根據(jù)誤句所要表達的意思來看，不能用after all，而是要用finally 來表示“若干時間或動作”之后的“最后(行動)。
