造訪大學(xué)-假期-旅游
Spring breaks were always used to pay back my sleep debt for burning the midnight oil on a regular basis.
過去的每個(gè)春假，我都是用來彌補(bǔ)平日經(jīng)常熬夜所造成的眨眼不足。
This year was different.My parents,counselors,and friends all encouraged me to go visit colleges.I thought,"those tedious application forms and essays were a pain,now I have to give up a week of vacation touring the USA?"
今年就不同了。我的父母，老師和朋友們都鼓勵(lì)我去參觀大學(xué)。我在想“那些麻煩的申請(qǐng)表和介紹的文章已經(jīng)把我折騰死了，現(xiàn)在我還要放棄一周的假期來周游美國(guó)嗎?”
I went.Visiting 7 schools in 5 days was a great feat in itself.My mother and I first flew to San Francisco and rented a car.That day,we went to UC Berkeley and Stanford.On day 2,we drove all the way down to LA.Day 3 is for visiting UCLA and USC.We flew across the continent to the east coast,arriving in Boston at midnight.The next day,we toured MIT and Harvard for a while,then drove to Newark,New Jersey for the night.On the last day,we saw U Penn in Philadelphia before catching the plane back to our home in Texas.
我還是去了。在5天參訪7個(gè)學(xué)校本身就是不容易之事。我和母親先飛到舊金山并租了一輛車。當(dāng)天我們?nèi)チ思又莅乜巳R大學(xué)和史丹佛大學(xué)。第二天我們一路開車到洛杉機(jī)。第三天是參觀加州洛杉機(jī)大學(xué)和南加大。我們飛越了美洲大陸來到了東岸，午夜時(shí)到達(dá)波士頓。隔天，我們支了麻省理工學(xué)院和哈佛大學(xué)一小段時(shí)間，然后開車到紐澤西州的紐華克過夜。最后一天，在搭飛機(jī)回德克蕯斯的家之前，我們?nèi)タ戳宋挥谫M(fèi)城的賓州大學(xué)。
The tour showed me waht different colleges were like.It was a valuable experience,even though in the end,none of them accepted my application.
這趟旅行讓我看到不同的大學(xué)是什么樣子。雖然到最后，這些學(xué)校中沒有一所綠取我，但這仍然是一次寶貴的經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
