"Whoops," said Dexter.

“哎喲，”德克斯特說。

It was Fox's turn to appear. Suddenly it began to rain.

輪到小狐上場了，可天空突然下起雨來。

Fox's beautiful paper costume fell apart in front of everyone.

小狐漂亮的紙質(zhì)戲服被雨淋透了。

"What do we do now?" said Carmen.

“現(xiàn)在怎么辦？”卡門說。

Put the curtain down!

拉下幕布！

Fox called out to Louise.

小狐朝露易絲喊道，

And Louise pulled with all her might.

露易絲使出吃奶的力一拉，

The curtain came down.

幕布掉下來了。

"Who turned out the lights?" cried Carmen.

“誰把燈關(guān)了？”卡門叫道。

"Where am I?" said Dexter.

“我在哪兒？”德克斯特說。

"The play was ruined!" cried Fox. "Everything went wrong!"

“毀了！”小狐說，“全毀了！”

The next day Fox heard some folks talking.

第二天小狐聽到有人談?wù)撍麄兊难莩觥?/p>

"That Fox really knows how to put on a funny show," someone said.

“那個小狐真有排喜劇的天賦，”一個人說。

"Funniest thing I ever saw," said someone else.

“是我看過的最搞笑的喜劇了，”另一個人說。

And Fox began to plan his next show.
