Two wrongs don’t make a right”這個習(xí)語中,wrong就用作名詞來用。
-Did you hear the news about Helen? No, what happened?
-She was fired for stealing from the company.
-What? Helen doesn’t seem like the kind of person who would do that.
-Well, she said that her boss had been stealing from the company for years. So she thought it was okay.
-Well, two wrongs do not make a right.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
New Words:
nasty adj. 令人厭惡的; 令人不悅的; 不友好的; 惡意的;
get back at sb. 報(bào)復(fù),向…報(bào)仇;
Example:
It is true that he has hurt your feelings, but you should not try to do something nasty to get back at him. You know that two wrongs don't make a right.
