露西的一天 第95期:清潔與放松講解(1)

Episode nine is called "Cleaning and Relaxing." 第九課講的是“清潔與放松”。

Lucy starts by saying that she's "feeling pretty energetic," or very energetic. 一開始，露西說她自己“精力很充沛”，或者渾身充滿了力量。

Energetic, "energetic," comes from the word energy, "energy." 精力充沛，來源于“精力”這個(gè)詞。

Energy is the same as power. 也就是能量。

When we say someone is energetic, usually we mean that they have a lot of willingness to do something - they have a lot of energy. 當(dāng)我們說某人精力充沛時(shí)，通常是說他們非常愿意干點(diǎn)什么——有用不完的勁兒。

We also use that expression, she has a lot of energy, 我們也這樣表達(dá)，說“她精力充沛”，

that means she has a lot of strength to do things - she doesn't get tired very easily. 就是說她干活有的是勁兒——不容易累。

It's the opposite of being tired. 與“累了”的意思相反。

It's to be energetic, like the host of ESLPod.com's courses, very energetic! 就像ESLPod.com的主持人一樣，精力滿滿。

"When I finish my three cookies," Lucy says, that is, when I finish eating my three cookies, I "decide to do a little cleaning," she says. “當(dāng)我吃完三塊餅干”，露西說，意思就是，當(dāng)我吃完三塊餅干，我決定“打掃一下房間”。

So, Lucy takes "out a rag"and starts "dusting the living room." 所以，露西拿出“一塊抹布”開始“打掃客廳”。
