首先向大家通報一組數(shù)字：3月25日0-24時，中國境內(nèi)新增治愈出院病例401例，截至3月25日24時，中國境內(nèi)累計治愈出院病例74051例。

I’d like to share some figures with you first. March 25 saw 401 patients cured and discharged from hospital in China’s mainland, bringing the tally to 74,051.

 

澎湃新聞記者：據(jù)報道，3月25日七國集團外長舉行視頻會議，美國務卿蓬佩奧在會后記者會上繼續(xù)攻擊中國政治制度，并再次將新冠病毒稱為“武漢病毒”。中方對此有何評論？

The Paper: At a press availability after the Virtual G7 Ministerial on March 25, US Secretary of State Pompeo renewed his attacks on China’s political system and once again referred to the coronavirus as “the Wuhan virus”. What’s your comment?

 

耿爽：我們對蓬佩奧上述言行予以強烈譴責。

Geng Shuang: We strongly condemn these remarks by Secretary Pompeo.

 

正如中方多次指出，新冠病毒溯源問題是個復雜的科學問題，需要聽取科學、專業(yè)的意見。世界衛(wèi)生組織和國際社會都明確反對將病毒與特定國家和地區(qū)相聯(lián)系，反對借此搞污名化。世衛(wèi)組織和國際社會也都高度肯定中國的抗疫工作。然而，這個美國政客卻執(zhí)意逆國際共識而動，繼續(xù)對中國搞污名化、詆毀抹黑中方抗疫努力，企圖借此轉(zhuǎn)移視線、轉(zhuǎn)嫁責任，用心極其險惡。

As China has repeatedly pointed out, origin-tracing of the virus is a complicated matter, where we should rely on professional views from the science community. WHO and the international community explicitly object to linking the virus with specific countries or regions, or seeking stigmatization. They have commended China’s response. However, this American politician continues to defy global consensus, stigmatize China and discredit its epidemic response. The sinister intention behind his attempt is to deflect attention at home and shift the blame to the innocent.

 

必須指出，當前新冠肺炎疫情肆虐全球，美國國內(nèi)疫情日益惡化。如果這個時候還不把精力用于自己本國的疫情防控，用于為國際抗疫合作營造氣氛，反而一再挑起政治爭端，破壞國際抗疫合作，這種政客還有什么道德可言？

I have to point out that the COVID-19 pandemic is spreading across the globe and the situation in the US is getting worse. Under such circumstances, if a politician keeps provoking political disputes and disrupting international cooperation in combating the virus, instead of focusing on containing the spread at home and contributing to global cooperation, what morality does he have?

 

全世界人民都看得非常清楚，正是在中國共產(chǎn)黨領導下，中國人民贏得了獨立、自由和解放，在國家建設中不斷取得輝煌成就；也正是在中國共產(chǎn)黨領導下，中國人民萬眾一心、迅速行動，在這場抗疫斗爭中取得了積極成效，為全球疫情防控爭取了寶貴時間、作出了重要貢獻。這些早已經(jīng)是有目共睹的事實。

People of the world have all witnessed that it is under the leadership of the CPC that the Chinese people achieved independence, freedom and liberation and made enormous progress in national development. It is also under the leadership of the CPC that the Chinese nation united as one and speedily fought against COVID-19, buying precious time for the global response. These are plain facts for all to see.

 

我們奉勸這個美國政客不要在錯誤的道路上越走越遠，否則，只會進一步暴露他的虛偽和不良用心，只會進一步激起中國人民和世界各國人民的憤慨和反對。

We advise this politician not to go further down the wrong path, otherwise his hypocrisy and malign intentions will be further exposed, prompting more indignation and objection among the Chinese people and the international community.

 

法新社記者：還是關于蓬佩奧有關言論的問題。蓬佩奧表示，G7外長同意他關于中國在新冠肺炎疫情問題上發(fā)動“假消息運動”的說法。中方對此有何評論？

AFP: Just one follow-up question on Secretary of State Pompeo’s comments. He mentioned that the G7 foreign ministers agreed with him that China was waging a disinformation campaign about the coronavirus pandemic. So we wanted to ask what is China’s comment?

 

耿爽：我剛才在回答澎湃新聞記者提問時已經(jīng)闡述了中方立場。

Geng Shuang: I have just elaborated on China’s stance in my response to The Paper.

 

關于你的問題，我可以再多說兩句。新冠肺炎疫情發(fā)生以來，中方采取了最全面、最嚴格、最徹底的舉措，防控工作取得了積極成效，為世界范圍的抗疫斗爭作出了重要貢獻。中方也始終本著公開、透明和負責任的態(tài)度，同包括七國在內(nèi)的有關國家與國際組織及時分享疫情信息，保持密切溝通，積極開展合作。中方的所作所為得到了國際社會的普遍贊譽。

Since you asked about it again, I can say a few more. Since the pandemic broke out, China has taken the most comprehensive, thorough and rigorous measures against it and such measures have produced great results. This is our contribution to the global fight against the pandemic. All along, China has been open, transparent and responsible in sharing information, staying in close communication and carrying out cooperation with relevant countries and international organizations including G7. What we have done has won us applause from the international community.

 

我們敦促美方尊重客觀事實，尊重國際公論，停止將疫情政治化，停止攻擊抹黑中國。我們多次說過，美方當務之急是做好自己的事情，做好本國國內(nèi)的疫情防控工作，同時為國際抗疫斗爭發(fā)揮建設性作用。在這個時候，試圖轉(zhuǎn)移視線、轉(zhuǎn)嫁責任，根本于事無補。

We urge the US side to respect facts and the public opinion of the international community and stop politicizing the pandemic and stigmatizing China. As we said repeatedly, the top priority for the US is to put its own house in order, do its level best to halt the spread of COVID-19 and play a constructive role in the international cooperation against the pandemic. Trying to muddy the water and divert responsibility at this moment will not help solve any problem.

日本廣播協(xié)會記者：北海道教育大學袁克勤教授回國后一直失聯(lián)，有些人擔心他可能被抓了。你能否介紹有關情況？

NHK: The whereabouts of Yuan Keqin, a professor of the Hokkaido University of Education who returned to China, is still unknown. Some people are worried that he might be arrested. Do you have more details on that?

 

耿爽：袁克勤是中國公民，因涉嫌間諜犯罪，被中國國家安全部門依法審查，其本人對犯罪事實供認不諱。該案事實清楚、證據(jù)確鑿，已被移送檢察機關審查起訴，目前在依法辦理中。辦案機關充分保障了袁克勤的各項訴訟權利。

Geng Shuang: Yuan Keqin is a Chinese citizen. He is suspected of spying and has been investigated by China’s national security authority in accordance with law. He made a full confession. All the facts are clear and evidence irrefutable. His case has been transferred to the procuratorial authorities for investigation and prosecution. Yuan Keqin’s litigation rights have been fully guaranteed along the way.

 

路透社記者：美國總統(tǒng)特朗普昨日稱，世衛(wèi)組織一直偏袒中國。中方對此有何評論？

Reuters: President Trump yesterday made comments about the WHO being biased in favor of China. Does China have a response?

 

耿爽：新冠肺炎疫情發(fā)生以來，世衛(wèi)組織作為國際衛(wèi)生領域最權威、最專業(yè)的機構，為協(xié)調(diào)世界范圍內(nèi)的抗疫斗爭和防疫合作作出了巨大努力。他們的工作得到了國際社會的普遍認可和廣泛贊譽。我們支持世衛(wèi)組織在下一步的國際衛(wèi)生合作中繼續(xù)發(fā)揮重要作用。

Geng Shuang: Since the outbreak of COVID-19, WHO, as the most authoritative and professional institution in global public health security, has made tremendous efforts to coordinate response and cooperation worldwide. Its work has been recognized and commended by the international community. China supports it in continuing to play an important role in this global fight against the pandemic.
