The event appearance marked the end of a day that began with Erbert announcing that she is cleared to join Hough again on the Symphony of Dance tour.

After a tour performance in Washington, D.C., in December 2023, the dancer was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel.

Following the craniectomy, she underwent cranioplasty surgery to "replace a large portion of her skull," and the tour was postponed.

"I am just so excited to get back out and dance again after having something so traumatic happen," Erbert told PEOPLE.

To perform together on the tour that will kick off in Melbourne, Florida, on April 14, Hough tells PEOPLE they've "had extensive conversations and tests and results from different doctors."
