President Xi Jinping, who is general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has called on members of the CPC and officials to keep firmly in mind the Party's original aspiration, mission, nature and purpose, and progress along the Long March of the new era toward national rejuvenation.

2013年12月31日，習(xí)近平在全國(guó)政協(xié)新年茶話(huà)會(huì)上，首次提到了“在改革開(kāi)放新的長(zhǎng)征路上，共同譜寫(xiě)實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興中國(guó)夢(mèng)的新篇章”。2016年9月23日，習(xí)近平明確指明“新長(zhǎng)征路”就是實(shí)現(xiàn)“兩個(gè)一百年”奮斗目標(biāo)、實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興中國(guó)夢(mèng)的路。針對(duì)如何走好新長(zhǎng)征路這一課題，習(xí)近平提出了6個(gè)“必須”：必須堅(jiān)定共產(chǎn)主義遠(yuǎn)大理想和中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義共同理想;必須堅(jiān)定中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義道路自信、理論自信、制度自信、文化自信;必須把人民放在心中最高位置，堅(jiān)持一切為了人民、一切依靠人民;必須把握方向、統(tǒng)攬大局、統(tǒng)籌全局;必須建設(shè)同我國(guó)國(guó)際地位相稱(chēng)、同國(guó)家安全和發(fā)展利益相適應(yīng)的鞏固國(guó)防和強(qiáng)大軍隊(duì);必須加強(qiáng)黨的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，堅(jiān)持全面從嚴(yán)治黨。

We should energetically foster and promote the great Long March spirit, encourage all members of the Party, the army, the ethnic groups nationwide, especially the younger generation, to work with stamina and diligence, carry on the great causes initiated by the revolutionary forefathers and continue to write the chapters of the glories we worked along the path of new Long March towards the "Two Centenary Goals" and Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
