WRITTEN AT THE WEST CAPITAL
西都作
I am in charge of mountains and rivers divine,
Heaven tells me to be free to give order mine.
I have commanded rain to fall and wind to blow
And asked the cloud to stay and the moon to go.
Thousands of verses fine,
詩(shī)萬(wàn)首,
Hundreds of cups of wine,
I’ve only looked down upon the lords in power.
I would never go back high in my golden tower,
But drunk in the west capital with the mume flower.
